Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field that refers to the skill sets needed in the contemporary, advanced automated manufacturing industry. At the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and computing, mechatronics specialists create simpler, smarter systems. Mechatronics focuses on the integration of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering systems, and also includes a combination of robotics, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, systems, control, and product. Mechatronics engineers design and develop electro-mechanical systems as well as computer control systems for manufacturing equipment. They develop programming logic for manufacturing equipment and also select the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process. With a mechatronics degree, you can work in important areas of robotics like design, R&D, manufacturing, production, safety and quality. Mechatronics engineers design, build, and test machinery that is part mechanical and part electronic. They coordinate the manufacture and assembly of various mechanical and electronic components and sub-assemblies. Mechatronics engineers often design, build, and test automated systems.

This course is designed to create awareness, extend education and prepare the base for further studies in the area of information security, digital forensics and cyber laws. The course will be focusing on information systems, information security, security threats and risks, computer crimes, data security and backup, the importance of digital forensics, issues in computer and mobile forensics and cyber laws in detail.

The main aim of cyber forensics is to maintain the thread of evidence and documentation to find out who did the crime digitally. The Digital India movement of the government has given an additional pace to the penetration of ICT in Indian society. With the use of the internet, the world has now become a single village. Every development activity has its own cost and ICT is also not aloof from that. Internet and ICT have opened new ways of crime and the risk is increasing with the advancement and use of technology. There is an utmost need to increase awareness and impart skills, in Indian society, on the issues in the domain of Information Security.
