It is a privilege to inform you that SNIT Adoor is the first college in our country to be accredited with the prestigious *INDYWOOD FILM CLUB*

On behalf of this we are going to start an *ARTS/FILM CLUB* in our college. It will be inaugurated by Mr. S. K.Sohan Roy*, *the founder of Indywood Film Carnival and the director of Oscar nominated Hollywood movie “DAM 999”*, on college arts day *“Dhwani-16”*.

As part of this, we are going to conduct *talent hunt competitions*.We want maximum participation and the winners will be awarded with cash prizes .Your participation will be a stepping stone for your dream career. The programme with the competition dates are mentioned below.

  • Art Gallery (exhibition for any kind of art like water, oil, glass, digital paintings, pencil drawing, clay modelling,sand modelling etc.) – October 28
  • Anchoring/RJ talent huntOctober 20, 21, 22
  • Drama Club Talent Hunt– (mimicry, monoact, acting, mime)-October 24,25,26
  • Literature club talent hunt -(story, poetry, essay writing – (Any theme of your choice)) last date of submission – October 25
  • Design Club talent hunt– (“Theme: a unique background theme for Dhwani’16”)- last date of submission- October 27
  • Dance club talent hunt – (House wise)-November 4
  • Layamantra(Music Band) talent hunt – November 2,3,4,5
  • Mad angles (photography club talent hunt) – (‘theme will be decided and informed later) last date of submission November 4
  • Short Film Competition – last date of submission November 4

Winners will be getting a chance to exhibit their talents on various Indywood shows conducted at State/National level.

NB: All the talent hunt events will be conducted during Activity Hour.

Sree Narayana Institute of Technology,Adoor has a very active student club wherein students are strongly encouraged to pursue club membership to help them enrich their college experience. The various student clubs at SNIT that demonstrate the holistic development of the students and enhance the overall diversity are listed below.

OBJECTIVES & STRUCTURE

The club provides a platform to students to showcase their talent in music, dance and other fine arts. It encourages managerial capabilities through event management and stage organization. The club was initiated for developing leadership qualities and building a sense of service in the minds of the students.

  • To cultivate interest in the students towards extracurricular activities and expose their skills in arts & sports.
  • To up bring the talent in pupils and shape them up to represent the institution in university & inter college level based Arts & Sports competitions.
  • To make the students culturally and technically affectionate with the campus for which Arts & Sports will play a vital role.
  • To develop an attitude of social responsibility, positive thinking, adaptability, teamwork, leadership and respect for fellow beings.
  • To improve the productivity of students through neuro-muscular development and reducing the mental trauma.
  • To induce a positive attitude towards leisure.
