PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

The graduates will

  1. Demonstrate technical competence in identifying, analyzing and designing innovative, sustainable and cost effective solutions for complex problems.
  2. Adapt to rapid changes in tools and technology with an understanding of societal and ecological issues relevant to professional engineering practice through life-long learning.
  3. Work successfully in collaborative and multi-disciplinary environments upholding professional and ethical values or pursue higher studies or research.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)

On completion of the B.E (ECE) degree the Electronics and Communication graduates will be able to

  1. Engineering Knowledge: Utilize the basic knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering field
  2. Problem Analysis : Identify, formulate and solve complex problems to achieve demonstrated conclusions using mathematical principles and engineering sciences
  3. Design/Development of solutions: Design system components that meet the requirement of public safety and offer solutions to the societal and environmental concerns.
  4. Conduct Investigations of complex problems:Apply research based knowledge to design and conduct experiments, analyze, synthesize     and interpret the data pertaining to Electronics and Communication Engineering problems   and arrive at valid conclusions.
  5. Modern tool usage: Construct, choose and apply the techniques, resources and modern engineering tools required for Electronics and Communication Engineering applications.
  6. The Engineer and Society: Apply the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and cultural issues and   endure the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. Environmental and Sustainability: Examine the impact of engineering solutions in global and environmental contexts and utilize the knowledge for sustained development
  8. Ethics: Develop consciousness of professional, ethical and social responsibilities as experts in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  9. Individual and Team work: Perform effectively as a member/leader in multidisciplinary teams.
  10. Communication: Communicate the engineering activities to engineering society for documentation and presentation.
  11. Project management and Finance :Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles to manage projects in multidisciplinary environment.

Engineering graduates will be able to:


  1. Demonstrate their skills in designing, implementing and testing analogue and digital electronic circuits, including microprocessor systems, for signal processing, communication, networking, VLSI and embedded systems applications.
  2. Apply their knowledge and skills to conduct experiments and develop applications using electronic design automation (EDA) tools.
  3. Demonstrate a sense of professional ethics, recognize the importance of continued learning, and be able to carry out their professional and entrepreneurial responsibilities in electronics engineering field giving due consideration to environment protection and sustainability.

A graduate of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Program will demonstrate:

  1. Professional Skills: An ability to apply concepts in Electronics & Communication Engineering to design and implement complex systems in the areas related to Analog and Digital Electronics, Communication, Signal processing ,VLSI and Embedded systems.
  2. Competitive Skills:  An ability to make use of acquired technical knowledge for successful career and qualifying in competitive examinations at the National and Global levels.
  3. Research : Excellent adaptability to changing work environment by selecting and applying cutting edge engineering hardware and software tools to anlyze and improve systems / processes for a variety of applications as well as to interpret /synthesize the simulated and experimental data leading to valid conclusions aimed at the furtherance of research activities for the well-being of humanity.
