Farewell Party for Final Year Students in Association with SAFE

Department of Mechanical Automobile Engineering (MAE) conducted Farewell party for final year students in association with SAFE association on 09/05/24, 11.30 am at Dept. Seminar hall. Head of dept. Dr. Sarath Raj chaired the program. College Academic Director Dr. Keshav Mohan was the Chief guest for the program. The ceremony commenced with a touching speech by Dr. Sarath Raj reminiscing the batch’s contributions and impact on the college. Academic Director Dr. Keshav Mohan Sir delivered a wonderful speech about party and he offered well wishes for the students for their future endeavors. This was followed by a heartwarming video presentation featuring memorable moments from the batch. Then students started sharing their valuable memories at SNIT. They enthusiastically participated in various cultural activities and games.There was a memento distribution for final year students by juniors.
There was a surprise appreciation ceremony for Dr. Sarath Raj for his great accomplishments in his research and publications work for last few years. Dr. Keshav Mohan Sir honoured him with a memento and celebrations were followed by cutting a cake.
All faculties of MAE department delivered warm wishes to their lovely students. The program winded up at 2.00pm with vote of thanks by S6 MAE(2021-25B) Student representatives those who lead the conduction of the program. Food was arranged afterwards.

College Vice Principal and Head of Mechanical Department, Dr. M. D. Sreekumar, along with Academic Coordinator Prof. N. Radhakrishnan Nair and Dr. Jaya Shankar, congratulated the meeting, highlighting the collaborative efforts and achievements of the department.
The ceremony paid tribute to two former students, Amjith Manikuttan and Vivek V.,who tragically passed away prematurely. In their memory, an award named “Smriti” was instituted to recognize meritorious students, perpetuating their legacy of excellence and dedication.

Department of Mechanical Automobile Engineering conducted a seminar on the topic of Electric Vehicles and ADAS” under the department association (SAFE) on 19/10/2023 at ABSN hall from 2.00 pm to 3.30 p.m. For this seminar, Mr. Arun R Nath (Training Manager KVR Hyundai) was invited as the speaker and he described the modern trends in the automotive sector and explained the concepts of advanced driver assistance systems to students with a video presentation. Students from all departments have attended this program.
